Parkour, Psychogeography, and Smart Spaces
August 16, 2006
Via Jyri Engestrom, here's a video of Matt Jones of Nokia and Matt Webb of Schulze & Webb, from the recent Aula 06 in Helsinki discussing tangents of many, many threads of smart space issues. I recommend giving the video a viewing to see the talk they gave discussing Parkour, a sport originating in France whereby participants pass through the obstacles of a city via athletic jumps, runs and vaults, augmented reality, video mobiles, psychogeography, emotion mapping and urban environments. It's a rambling discussion but the Matts are on to some interesting and promising threads.
Have a drink and watch.
